INDIGO Now Offering Mouse RORγ Assay Systems

New Assay Critical to the Study of Diabetes, Inflammation, and Metabolic Diseases

State College, PA (April 26, 2016) INDIGO Biosciences, the recognized industry leader in nuclear receptor research, has expanded its offerings to include Mouse RAR-related Orphan Receptor Gamma (nr1f3; mRORγ) kits and services.

Mouse RORγ adds to INDIGO’s current RORγ product line.

Recent studies have demonstrated that the RORs are involved in several pathologies, including osteoporosis, autoimmune diseases, asthma, cancer, diabetes and obesity. In particular, the RORγ subtype has received a great deal of attention due to its ability to regulate interleukin-17 (IL-17) and enhance differentiation of TH17 cells. Inverse agonists of RORγ are being explored as potential anti-inflammatory agents as well as treatments for autoimmune disorders. Small-molecule RORɣ agonists could have therapeutic potential in the treatment of obesity and diabetes.

Due to these critical roles in human physiology, RORγ has emerged to be a promising target for drug discovery. “We are excited to add Mouse RORγ to our portfolio. It represents a significant expansion in drug discovery capabilities for those interested in RAR-related Orphan Receptor” says Dr. Jack Vanden Heuvel, Chief Scientific Officer.

INDIGO’s Mouse RORγ assay kits are cell-based genetic reporter assay systems. The assay kits are all-inclusive systems, including optimized media for use during cell culture and preparing test compound treatments, a Mouse RORγ assay kits reference agonist, luciferase detection reagents, and an assay plate.
