INDIGO Now Offers Nrf2 Assay Systems

State College, PA (March 19, 2015) – INDIGO Biosciences, a recognized industry-leading provider of nuclear receptor products and services, announced today that it has completed development of Human Nuclear Factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (Nrf2). Kits and services are available for immediate purchase in human Nrf2.

Nrf2 is an important target for drug discovery. It regulates the expression of a variety of genes that play critical roles in protecting against damage to cells, and the clearance of toxic chemical from the body. The Nrf2 pathway has been especially studied in various brain degenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, as well as autism, to name a few.

The Nrf2 pathway has been referred to as the “master regulator of antioxidant, detoxification and cell defense.” For these reasons significant research has been carried out trying to explore how activating this life-sustaining pathway may have critically important applications for our health. INDIGO’s new Nrf2 assay kits include everything required to properly screen for Nrf2 activation.
