March 1, 2010 Now researchers can evaluate activity against a whole family in a single ready-to-use kit
State College, Pennsylvania—Today INDIGO Biosciences, Inc., The Nuclear Receptor Company, announces the addition of Nuclear Receptor Assay Panels to its expanding line of on-demand nuclear receptor testing products. Each Panel will allow researchers to test for agonist or antagonist activity against all members of the ER, LXR, or PPAR families.
“Before the launch of these kits, it could take a researcher months to develop cell-based assays in-house, and they would need to duplicate that effort for each receptor. Now they just open the INDIGO box.” says Jack Vanden Heuvel, PhD, Chief Science Officer of INDIGO Biosciences
.
INDIGO Biosciences’ Nuclear Receptor Assay System kits are all-inclusive and easy-to-use, saving customers time and money. The Company’s new panel reporter assay product families include: Estrogen Receptor (ER) alpha and beta; Liver X Receptor(LXR) Alpha and Beta; Human Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor (PPARG) Alpha, Gamma, and Delta. Each panel is offered as a complete ‘lab-in-a-box’ with engineered cells cryopreserved using INDIGO’s proprietary Cryomite™ process, optimized culture media, positive-control agonist, all reagents and even the plate in 96-well format included, as well as a detailed Technical Manual and Protocol Quick Guide.
INDIGO’s cell-based Assay Systems are a ready to use when the researcher is ready to test. They go from freezer to data in 24 hours, with minimal hands on time. INDIGO’s simple four step process: Thaw, Feed, Dose, Read. It’s that simple. There is no need for cumbersome post thaw steps to spin down, adjust titer, or conduct cell counts. And there are NO wash steps!
All INDIGO Biosciences' Nuclear Receptor Reporter Assay Systems feature excellent Z’scores and high signal to noise ratios. In addition, the reporter cells require no post-thaw handling and yield greater than 95% viability. These Assay Systems utilize stable-glow luciferase chemistry, thus allowing plates to be processed in batch, and dramatically reducing the start-to-finish read-time of assay plates.
