INDIGO Biosciences, Inc., based in State College, PA, is a biosciences company that focuses on developing and offering cell-based receptor assays and in vitro toxicology assay products and services. Research applications include HTS, new drug development, human toxicology assessments of drugs, and environmental monitoring for industrial, agricultural, and/or pharmaceutical contaminants.
We are seeking talented Scientists and Associate Scientists to join our Products and Services Teams.
Associate Scientists, Levels I & II, typically holds a Masters’ Degree in a relevant field of the biological sciences, or a Bachelors’ Degree with a minimum of 5 years laboratory experience in a biosciences research or manufacturing lab.
Associate Scientists, Level III, holds a Ph.D. in a relevant field of the biological sciences, but typically has limited or no post-doctoral research experiences.
Scientists, Level I, holds a Ph.D. in a relevant field of the biological sciences and will have completed 2- 5 years of additional post-doctoral research training, or an equivalent tenure of research in the private sector.
The successful candidates will have formal training and demonstrated technical proficiencies / expertise in one or more of the following areas: mammalian cell biology, mammalian toxicology, receptor biology, assay development, molecular biology, and/or biochemistry methods.
INDIGO’s Scientists and Associate Scientists are bench scientists that work within a Research Team. It is expected that they will be intellectually engaged in critically evaluating experimental data, trouble-shoot technical problems, “brainstorming” the application of new or alternative technologies/methods, and interacting with INDIGO’s Sales and Marketing Teams, as well as directly with our customers. Areas of technical responsibilities include:
- R&D initiatives: The execution of experiments aimed at developing, optimizing, and validating new mammalian cell-based assays for INDIGO’s products and services portfolios.
- Product Manufacturing initiatives: The large-scale manufacturing of mammalian reporter cells and assay kit components
- Quality Assurance initiatives: Performing routine quality QA testing of inventory stocks and executing inventory control policies to ensure the availability and integrity of INDIGO products.
- Service Study initiatives (Assoc. Scientist, Level III and Scientist, Level I): Managing and executing contract service studies for INDIGO’s various biopharma, biotech, academic, and governmental clients.
