New ERRa Reporter Assays from INDIGO Biosciences
November 7, 2013 – The Nuclear Receptor Experts™ are expanding the line of INDIGO Nuclear Receptor Reporter Assays. Human Estrogen-Related Receptor Alpha (ERRa) is available in INDIGO’s Contract Screening Lab or can be purchased as INDIGO Nuclear Receptor Reporter Assay Kits. The principle application of this assay system is in the screening of test samples to quantify inverse-agonist activities that they may exert against human ERRa.
INDIGO ERRa Reporter Assay Kits are available in 96-well, 3×32 well, or 384-well formats. With proprietary human cells engineered to provide high-level expression of ERRa, and the incorporation of a responsive luciferase reporter gene into Reporter Cells, INDIGO’s Human ERRa Assay kits will quantify expressed luciferase activity at the assay endpoint, providing a sensitive surrogate measure of changes in ERRa activity in treated cells.
The single-use reagent Reporter Cells are prepared using INDIGO’s proprietary CryoMite™ process. This cryopreservation method yields high cell viability post-thaw, and provides the convenience of immediately dispensing healthy, division-competent reporter cells into assay wells. There is no need for intermediate spin-and-wash steps, viability determinations, celltiter adjustments, or pre-incubation of reporter cells prior to assay setup.
